The launch of the new service coincides with the 15th anniversary of PayPal operations in Brazil.

⚡️ The PayPal Complete Payments platform has been live in the country for nearly a year. It is designed for SMEs and combines local payment methods, card payments, and business management tools in a single solution.

⚡️ The integration of Pix enables businesses to offer the preferred payment method among Brazilian consumers, alongside PayPal’s fraud protection and cross-border payment capabilities.

⚡️ Context: according to PayPal’s research published in the report PayPal Panorama: SMBs and Digital Commerce in Brazil 2025, transaction security is the top criterion when selecting a payment provider, cited by 49% of small businesses. Ease of use ranks second (39%). Additionally, two-thirds of entrepreneurs consider digital payment tools essential to their operations, and 77% of respondents already use payment platforms for digital activities.

⚡️ Additional context: Pix, launched by the Central Bank in 2020, had been adopted by more than 170 millionBrazilians (over 90% of the adult population) as of September 2025. During that period, it processed 196 billiontransactions. In January 2026 alone, the system handled more than 7 billion transactions, with a total value exceeding $602 billion.
