People and companies with irregular status with the Tax Agency (IRS) will no longer be able to use the instant payment system. The issue is not the fiscal debt, but the user identification.

▶️ Previously: Financial institutions only needed to verify that the account holder’s name matched the records of the CPF (Brazilian tax ID for individuals) or CNPJ (for businesses).

▶️ Now: Verification will be required every time a Pix key (account identification code) is used—whether for registration, profile updates, or confirming ownership of a key.

⛔️ Individuals with CPF in a "suspended", "annulled", "null" (fraud or severe registration error), or "deceased" status will not be able to register Pix keys.

⛔️ The same restriction applies to businesses with a status of "null", "suspended", "inappropriate", "revoked", or "eliminated".

⛔️ Pix keys linked to an email or phone number can no longer be changed. To modify them, the existing key must be deleted, and a new one registered using a verified phone number.

▶️ These measures aim to prevent fraudulent use of Pix keys with names that do not match official records. Institutions that fail to comply will face fines.

▶️ When will these rules take effect? ⁉️ In July.
