🇧🇷 Brazil Loses Global Leadership ⚽ in Suspected Match-Fixing Cases❗️
Global football saw a decline in suspected match-fixing cases in 2024 after years of growth, according to the Annual Integrity Report by Sportradar Integrity Services, a division of the sports technology company Sportradar.

📉 Decline in Brazil and Worldwide:

Once leading in suspicious matches, Brazil recorded a 48% decrease in cases:

✔️ 2023: 110 suspicious matches

✔️ 2024: 57 suspicious matches

This significant reduction caused Brazil to lose its position as the global leader in football match-fixing suspicions.

🌍 The Current Global Scenario:

✔️ Europe: 439 suspicious matches (-34%)

✔️ Africa: 69 suspicious matches (-36%)

✔️ Global football: 721 suspicious matches (-18%)
Across all sports, 1,108 suspicious matches were flagged in 2024, reflecting a 17% decrease compared to 1,336 in 2023.

💡 Combatting Match-Fixing with Technology:

Sportradar employs its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), powered by artificial intelligence (AI), to detect:

✔️ Significant betting activity on improbable outcomes

✔️ Irregular betting patterns
The system’s findings are verified by experts, who escalate confirmed suspicious cases for comprehensive investigations.
