👀Brazil🇧🇷: Google Wallet Integrates Pix Payments with C6 Bank and PicPay Accounts

Brazilians can now initiate payments without the need to open the apps of the mentioned financial institutions.

➡️ To use this feature, users must link their bank accounts to Google Wallet.

➡️ Then, they can choose between three alternatives:
• Make a transfer using the Pix key (as in the banking app).
• Make a payment by scanning a QR code with the phone’s camera.
• Use the Pix Copy & Paste code.

➡️ Google Wallet has not yet announced the release dates for this cross-platform integration. The company only mentioned that it will be gradual and focused on user feedback and product adoption.

➡️ Google will not charge for the service. Its interest in participating in Open Finance as a regulated institution is based primarily on two premises: the successful similar experience in India🇮🇳 and the fact that Pix is currently the main and most widely used payment method in Brazil.
