👀Brazil 🇧🇷: Bradesco’s AI now enables Pix payments directly through WhatsApp — no app needed

A new solution allows users to make transfers using voice or text commands directly via WhatsApp.

Initially, the service will be available to a pilot group of 1,000 clients, with plans to roll it out to the entire user base by the end of the year.

➡️ From a technical perspective, the bank’s app is only needed once — to authorize WhatsApp as a transaction channel and activate the authentication module.

➡️ The service runs through BIA, Bradesco’s virtual assistant, which can understand natural language.

➡️The system identifies the user’s intent even if the word “Pix” is not mentioned, recognizes the contact, confirms the transaction, and sends the receipt.

➡️ For security reasons, transfers are limited to 300 reais (approximately 54 USD) per transaction.

➡️Noteworthy: Since its launch in 2017, the BIA assistant has served over 20 million users, resolving 90% of inquiries across Bradesco’s digital channels.
