💸 Binance will suspend hryvnia🇺🇦 operations starting September 28

💸 Binance will suspend hryvnia🇺🇦 operations starting September 28

The exchange will stop supporting hryvnia deposits and withdrawals through Fiat Trade UAH and will remove the USDT/UAH spot pair. The measure was announced by Binance on September 23.

📌 The suspension will take effect on September 28 at 09:00 UTC+2 (10:00 Moscow time). Binance has not disclosed the reasons for the decision and recommends that users review their hryvnia balances and cancel any active orders before the deadline.

📌 If users take no action, by 19:00 Moscow time on September 30, all eligible hryvnia balances will be automatically converted into USDT at a fixed exchange rate of 1 USDT = 46.5 hryvnias.

📌 Context: Binance exited Russia🇷🇺 on September 27, 2023, after selling its business in the country to CommEX. Before its exit, the exchange had already restricted some P2P functionality for Russian users.

In the EU🇪🇺, Binance had to withdraw certain operations on July 1, 2026, following the entry into force of MiCA, amid concerns from the ECB regarding potential competition from stablecoins and the exchange's compliance with regulatory requirements.

At the same time, Binance is strengthening its presence in Asia, after reaching cooperation agreements with the governments of Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬 and Kazakhstan🇰🇿 to promote the development of their respective digital asset markets.
