According to the latest data from the electronic clearinghouse COELSA, the average Argentine holds 4 bank accountsand 3.5 digital accounts, reflecting sustained growth in the financial ecosystem.

🟢 Between September and December 2024, 157 million QR transactions were recorded nationwide, marking a 212% increase compared to 2023. This payment method is primarily used by men (62%), with millennials as the most active group (62%), followed by Generation X (25%).

🟢 32% of QR payment volume is concentrated in low-risk businesses, such as supermarkets and department stores. Meanwhile, high-risk transactions—such as tourism, entertainment, and private services—account for 1% to 3%, according to COELSA's classification.

🟢 New regulation in Buenos Aires: Last week, Argentina’s most populous province authorized bettors at official agencies, bingo halls, racetracks, and gaming venues to make QR payments using debit cards.
