📢 Argentina🇦🇷 expands cross-border QR code payments with Alipay+🇨🇳

Argentina's Transferencias 3.0 infrastructure, which enables digital wallets and bank accounts from different providers to operate through a single interoperable QR code, is now expanding to support cross-border payments, allowing transactions initiated by users from abroad.

🔜 The integration with Alipay+ was implemented in partnership with fintech company PVS. As a result, international travelers can now use digital wallets and banking applications connected to Alipay+ to scan Argentina's national QR codes at participating merchants.

🔜 The initiative relies on the interoperable payments infrastructure developed by the Central Bank of Argentina, allowing merchants to accept these transactions without deploying additional payment acceptance systems.

🔵Alipay+, operated by Ant International, currently connects more than 50 digital wallets and banking applications, reaching approximately 2 billion user accounts. Its global network spans around 150 million merchants and is integrated with more than ten national QR payment systems worldwide.

🔵Meanwhile, Transferencias 3.0 processed more than 103.7 million QR code transactions in May 2026, with a total transaction value of USD 1,618,794,240, representing 63.7% year-over-year growth
